Archaeological excavations

Archaeological excavations are performed when a site of archaeological interest cannot be preserved and protected in situ.

Sometimes an archaeological site is located in an area suspected of UXO. By properly combining the archaeological excavations with the approach of UXO, the duration of the project can be shortened considerably. The deployment of an archaeologist who is also an assistant UXO expert ensures protection and preservation of the archaeological heritage found during the UXO approach.
